New Beginnings

yerty0

January has been a bit of a roller coaster for us. Our staff member, Ashley, has decided to move back to the USA.

As long term missionaries, we’ve seen many people come and go from the mission field. It’s a normal part of this life, but it never gets easier.

The sadness of her leaving, rehoming her pets that we cannot take in, and moving ministry back into our house has been a tad overwhelming. Our kids feel it, the ministry kids feel it, and Ashley feels the weight of that.

However, like with every ending, it makes way to beautiful new beginnings.

After moving all the ministry furniture we could back into our house, we all decided to donate what was left in Ashley’s house. She’s had the ability to help furnish a family’s first owned home. Gifted a washer and fridge to another family. As we all watch families get to adopt and love on her pets, we feel the new beginnings all around.

New phases. New blessings.

Sometimes when the end of a chapter comes, we get too caught up in the ending. This whole month has been a wonderful reminder of the excitement that comes from a new chapter.

Our family has settled since we took in our kids three years ago. They are up for the challenge of having ministry in our home. For learning the balance between ministry and family. It’s the next phase of growth for us a family.

In every chapter, God gives us ample opportunities to grow and bless. Even the hard moments can turn into a beautiful experience if you’re willing.

Let’s all lift Ashley up in prayer as she steps into a new journey in life. 💚
